National Express have been working with Meteor Security since November 2006, initially just for revenue protection services for initial trial period of 3 months, although in December 2007 following major issues with our main security supplier, Meteor have taken over the station and depot security, as well as full management of National express gatelines and human gateline.

I have been particularly impressed with the management team at Meteor who have been dedicated, committed, flexible and constructive towards National Express as a client, adapting effortlessly to changes that have been nade to the contract. The professionalism and knowledge of Meteor's management team have undoubtedly been the key reason for the successful partnership forged between National Express and Meteor. The vision of working together as a partnership, rather than the traditional security view of supply management, has been a refreshing change that has proved successful.

From initially giving Meteor a contract for a small team of 10, this has now grown to over 100 staff accross our network, covering a wide variety of roles from revenue protection, gateline, customer service at stations, crowd management at Tottenham Hotspur and Ipswich football clubs and major events such as the V-festival. In terms of security they are providing mobile patrols at known trouble spots, managing our depot security, and working closely with the BTP in reducing route crime.

 

There have been significant increases in revenue collected across the National Express network, and together we are continually looking at how we can generate additional income, through new schemes. Both customers and staff have praised the way Meteor perform their dutiesm with many writing to the customer services department commending the way that the staff have operated and behaved in difficult and confrontational situations.
